Welcome to Fourteen, a delightful café nestled at 14A Connaught Ave, Frinton-on-Sea CO13 9BB, United Kingdom. If you're searching for a charming retreat while soaking up the sun in Frinton, this little gem is a must-visit.

Fourteen is not just a café; it’s a cozy haven where you can unwind and enjoy a comforting atmosphere. With its quirky décor, including low sofas and painted cups and saucers, the café exudes a rustic charm that immediately makes you feel at home. The ambiance is enhanced by the presence of friendly faces, both human and canine, painting a welcoming picture of community spirit. As Caron Scott Nadal mentions, it’s a “very relaxing, cool shady haven on a hot summer’s day.” Imagine sipping on a beautifully bottled soft drink while watching the world go by—a true delight!

Among the café offerings, you’ll find a small but satisfying menu that includes toasted sandwiches paired with crisps and homemade coleslaw, perfect for a light yet fulfilling meal. Gluten-free bread and dairy-free milks are available, catering to diverse dietary needs, making everyone feel included. Ian King shared a lovely experience: “A very warm welcome. We’ll be back,” suggesting not only the quality of food but also the genuine hospitality that defines Fourteen.

What truly sets Fourteen apart is the warmth of its owner, Rosie, who is known for making every visitor feel welcome, as noted by John G7RWF. Here, you’re not just a customer; you’re a part of the friendly social tapestry, as there’s always someone to chat with over a steaming cup of coffee or a delectable treat.

If you have furry friends, you'll be delighted to know that Fourteen is dog-friendly, offering treats and water for your pooch while you relax and enjoy your meal. As Anne Mardell points out, the café is full of “gorgeous dogs and owners,” making it an ideal spot for animal lovers and their companions.

While some may note that the décor could use a refresh, the eclectic charm and inviting atmosphere more than make up for it. It’s this unique character that captures the hearts of many regulars, like Nigel Brown, who finds it to be a “pleasant little café" that encourages you to slow down and enjoy the moment.

In conclusion, whether you’re a local or just passing through, Fourteen offers a flavorful oasis filled with friendly faces, good value, and a welcoming environment that invites you back time and again. Next time you find yourself in Frinton-on-Sea, be sure to stop by Fourteen—you might just discover your new favorite retreat.

This was a very relaxing, cool shady haven on a hot summer's day at Frinton on Sea. Food only got 4 stars because the menu wasn't that extensive but everything there is individual and lovely from the low sofas and painted cups and saucers to the beautifully bottled soft drinks. Lovely!

It's a pleasant little café that's a little quirky. It's relaxing to be there, but the decor is a bit tired. Don't be put off by this comment though, it's a good little place. Enjoy.

Friendly service, the owner, Rosie, makes everyone welcome. Always someone to talk with . Dog friendly with treats and water for your pooch. Good value. I usually drop by twice each week.

Very enjoyable. We came here on chance after being turned away from a most unwelcoming place over the road. A small but adequate menu. Gluten free bread and dairy free milks available. A very warm welcome. We'll be back.

Lovely little bar/cafe. Friendly welcome and full of gorgeous dogs and owners. Limited menu but was fine for us. We had toasted sandwiches which came with a few crisps and homemade coleslaw. Nice outside searing area.
